Draft of a Blog Book

For some time, I have thought I would make this blog into a book and now I have a contract with the American Mathematical Society to publish this book. Its title is going to be "Numbers and the World, Essays on Math and Beyond". I have been working with their editor Eriko Hironaka who tells me the AMS has tentatively priced this book at $35. Of course the blog was free but this price seems quite reasonable. I am posting here the current draft that I am also submitting today to the AMS. I'm also including some suggestions for the cover that date from my and my student's work in the late 1990s. This illustrates perfectly how math can describe the world! The draft is located here.
