First Year Finale

Well, well. One year down. Only anywhere from 4 to 6 to go. Woohoo! This was from one very fine evening when a few of us dressed up a bit and went to a relatively nice restaurant. It was a great time. This picture was the very swell idea of our very own resident applied math Singaporean, Boon Tat Lim, who has gone back to Singapore (as in not coming back to Brown) after earning his Master's degree this year. Also leaving us forever is resident German Ada Meents, a very groovy gal. In the picture, Boon is at 4 o'clock, and Ada is at 10 o'clock. We'll miss you guys!
With one year out of the way, I guess each of us is a little wiser, a little more informed, and a little more dead on the inside. Graduate school tends to do that to you. Like getting your soul sucked out of you by a . Nah, I'm just being cynical. If you really like what you do, it's fun. I had fun this year. I hope the rest of you did, too.
