Chinese Restaurant Extraordinaire
A routine stop in Chinatown, San Fransisco

It's been a while since I updated this. Sorry about that. Well, it's time to start another semester here at Brown. The summer flew by really quickly. I spent the time in Ohio again. There are lots of things to look forward to this time around. Unless I hear otherwise, the Chinese Food Truck is still chugging along strong; new classes, new challenges, researching begins full swing; new graduate students at the department, ready to be edumacated; and there's a relatively new Cold Stone about 3 minutes walk from the office. Actually, that last one might be kind of bad. Oh well.

I treat a new school year much like New Year's Day. I make lots of "resolutions". Rather, in my mind I promise myself that I'm going to do all these awesome things this year. We all know how easy it is to lie to oneself. Few of these resolutions actually manifest themselves in reality. However, if I'm going to dream, I'm going to dream big. I'm looking forward to getting a decent amount of sleep this year. Fewer classes and more research means more sleep. Always good.

Oh, this funky little picture here is of a delectable little Chinese restaurant in the heart of downtown San Francisco. The two ladies smiling at the camera are Lisa and Jasmine, with whom I met up once I was in SF. I visited California over the summer to bother relatives and friends. Lisa was visiting people like myself, and Jasmine was working in the area for the summer (she was one of the people I bothered). We got the restaurant recommendation from either Matt Feiszli or Mario Micheli. I'm not sure which one, unfortunately, so I decided to give the credit to both. Good place. Go eat there if you're ever in SF.
